RIP Messiah Surat!

One of the shining stars of the Memphis Soul Music scene and a dear friend of Tha Movement has passed on. Messiah Surat, who graced Tha Movement stage on many occasions, no longer walks with us in physical form but his spirit that he poured out in his music will be with us forever. His CD, "The Evolution Continues" was an exceptional body of work, written and produced solely by Messiah. His lyrics of God, Love, Community, Spiritual and Personal Growth were a window into his deepest thoughts and feelings. He was a BIG supporter of Tha Movement and gave us so much with his performances and his words of encouragement. His potential was boundless, and he will truly be missed. The first song Messiah performed for Tha Movement was at our very first showcase. That song is entitled "I'm on my way back home to you, Father."
